The technology group General Atomics Europe is strengthening its presence in Germany and is opening an office in the capital in Berlin's government district. Frank Sitta has taken over the management. The 43-year-old political scientist was Deputy Chairman of the FDP parliamentary group in the German Bundestag until 2021. In the newly created position, he represents the interests of the group in the political and parliamentary arena.
General Atomics Europe (GA-Europe) is an integrated aviation, infrastructure and sustainability technology group headquartered in Dresden, Germany. It has been active on the German market for 30 years and is part of the globally active General Atomics Group, an American, family-run technology group. The companies of GA-Europe organize demanding business areas in high technology and set standards in the aviation of the future. They are also a reliable partner for rail, road and waterway infrastructure. "It is a particular challenge to effectively represent the interests of such a diversified group of companies," explains Frank Sitta. He reports to Stefan Klein, who is responsible for the Group's strategic business development in Germany. "The capital city office will support the further growth of our group of companies. We are delighted that we have been able to gain an expert with cross-sector experience in Mr. Sitta," says Stefan Klein.
Frank Sitta studied economics and political science at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. After several entrepreneurial projects, Sitta increased his political involvement in the FDP in 2015. He was state chairman of the FDP Saxony-Anhalt, a member of the FDP executive committee and, as a member of the German Bundestag, deputy parliamentary group chairman with responsibility for transport, digital, construction, environmental, climate and agricultural policy within the FDP parliamentary group. Sitta did not stand for re-election in 2021 due to a career change.
